Prelude Strings & Band Camp

July 29 - August 12, 2024

prelude rehearsal

NEMC Prelude Camp is a two-week sleep away camp that welcomes upper elementary and middle school string, woodwind, brass and percussion players to an orchestra & band ensemble experience. Specifically designed for students entering grades 4-9 (ages 9-13), this camp will bring fun and excitement to playing in a group! Each morning, campers will rehearse in orchestra & band ensembles, as well as participate in small group lessons, music theory classes, and sight reading sessions to enhance their playing skills. In the afternoons and evenings, campers will participate in traditional recreational activities to enjoy the lake-front campus of NEMC. The session culminates with a final concert performance at the Bowl in the Pines.
