Welcome!

We hope these guidelines will provide some basic information to make your stay at New England Adult Music Camp comfortable and enjoyable. Please take a few minutes to read through the packet and speak with any of the faculty or staff if you have any further questions. We want you to have a great week!

Living Areas

  • If you are in a cabin, we ask that personal belongings that have-been stored in your cabin by NEMC staff not be used. Items left out can be used with care.
  • Please remember to close windows and turn off lights if you will be away from the cabin or room for any extended periods.
  • It is very important to only use single ply toilet paper in any toilet on the campgrounds! Please don't flush any other materials.
  • There is no practicing permitted in the dorms or the Lodge. You will find plenty of practice spaces around camp! Please do not practice anywhere on camp between the hours of 9:00 pm and 7:00 am.
  • The Lodge porch is available for all campers to enjoy. Please be respectful of those campers sleeping at The Lodge and keep noise down between 9:00 pm and 7:00 am.

Housing specific information

Cabins

  • You may empty your garbage into any of the large brown barrels located around campus. Please tie securely.
  • If you choose to practice in your cabin, please be respectful of your very close neighbors and do not practice between 9:00 pm and 7:00 am.
  • Campers: PLease no pets except registered service animals.

Lodge and Dorms:

  • Common spaces (hallway, bathrooms) will be cleaned by our staff. Participants are responsible for keeping their own rooms neat and clean.
  • Please turn off the lights when you leave your room.
  • Please be sure to keep the shower curtains inside the shower enclosure, or someone downstairs will have an unplanned shower!
  • Please be respectful of your neighbors, and keep noise to a minimum. Quiet hours are between 9pm and 7am.

Camp Office

The camp office is located on the 1st floor of The Lodge. You can find Operations Coordinators, Marian Powell and Mark Hardy, and/or NEAMC staff there between 7 am and 7pm. if you have questions about accommodations, purchase of t-shirts/polo shirts, etc. You can also purchase beverages and snacks during those hours. Contact information for the NEAMC staff is below.

Parking/Driving

No cars are permitted on the grounds after moving into your lodging. Parking is available adjacent to the main entrance and on the lawn by the Bowl road.

Social/Happy Hour

Each day we will have Social Hour on the patio outside the Lodge. Everyone is welcome to have something to drink or munch just before dinner each day. Snacks and non-alcoholic beverages are part of your meal plan. Alcoholic beverages are available for sale. Wine and domestic beer are $5 and craft beer is $8.

Meals

  • If you signed up for a meal plan, all meals and beverages, as well as snacks are included.
  • If you are not on the meal plan but would like to purchase a meal during the week, please check in with the Operations Staff at the Lodge. The fee will be charged to your account, which will be settled at the end of the week.

Waterfront Rules

All participants and guests who plan to swim or use a kayak or canoe must sign and submit a waterfront waiver. These will be available when you register on Saturday.

If you choose to swim, the marked area behind the Bowl is the recommended area. Participants should not swim alone or at night.

If you would like to use a canoe or kayak, please be sure to sign it out on the form available on the bulletin board in the Lodge. The guidelines for boating are:

  • Paddles can be found next to the canoe dock. Please be sure to return your paddles there when you are finished.
  • PFD's must be worn when in the canoe or kayak. These are hanging along the shoreline at the canoe dock.
  • Upon return, please lay your canoe or kayak back on the rack.

Communications

Cell phone service will be unpredictable here at camp, depending on your carrier.

While we recommend that you take this week to unplug from everything, including your electronics, we realize that that may not be possible. There is a Wi-Fi network at camp. The network name and password is posted on the bulletin board outside the Lodge office. Service is not completely dependable, and the system is not designed for heavy use (downloads, streaming, etc.).
