Since 1937 talented young musicians have been coming to New England Music Camp in Sidney, Maine, to experience the splendor of a Maine summer and learn from some of the nation’s top music performers, conductors, and educators.

Snow Pond Center for the Arts

We are now pursuing a greater goal: to establish a thriving arts education and community center serving central Maine and beyond through the creation of Snow Pond Center for the Arts.

Our work, underway since fall 2012, has involved expanding our programs and upgrading our lakeside campus facilities.  Housed in the new arts education complex, the Snow Pond Community Music school will open its doors in the Fall, 2014.  The Arts Education Center provides ample space for musical rehearsals, composition, recording, visual arts, and dance. A secondary Arts Academy offering the same vibrant and nurturing atmosphere that NEMC has celebrated since its founding will open in 2016.  When completed Snow Pond Center Center for the Art’s Performance Hall will include a state-of-the-art, acoustically engineered, 750-seat concert hall.

Snow Pond Center for the Arts rents its facilities enabling the local community and others to host special events such as weddings, business conferences, retreats and music performances for area civic groups, universities, businesses and private individuals.
